I don't watch it normally but I am enjoying this World Cup a lot.

I think soccer would be amazing if they would just give each coach two red challenge flags like in the NFL. That way they could force the ref to look a video replay of his worst 2 calls.

I grew up playing soccer through to college and still play some rec league occasionally. I really do like watching soccer but I never do. Granted I don't watch a lot of sports. Something about remembering when it's on and being available. I'm pretty fine with the views most people feel about it in the US minus the blatant hate for it. I think this post linked sums up how a lot of people are though.

You know, I like that idea. It would perhaps clean up some of the more questionable calls. Also I think there needs to be something done about the flopping. I get why it's done (gives your team a break, gives you a break, slows the game down) but then allow for 20 second water break timeouts perhaps a couple times a game. They did that once already that I've seen this year and it literally was a 20 second break. Made everyone happy. The flopping is just too much and it turns many Americans off of the sport unfairly.
